Kareena Kapoor follows Rani Mukerji in Heroine

Just like Rani, Kareena is trying her luck by having her close associates shoot in her forthcoming film.

While shooting for her forthcoming film, Heroine, Kareena Kapoor got a surprise when the director suggested that she shoot with her make-up artistes.

According to a unit hand Madhur Bhandarkar who loves to have real people in his realistic films, wanted to do the same for Heroine. Since the film showcases the showbiz world, Madhur suggested that Kareena shoot with her actual make-up artistes in the film.

Quite a few actors have let their real life staff make friendly appearances. Rani's spot boy whom she considers lucky for her, shot for a small part in her forthcoming film Aiyya. He earlier made an appearance in No One Killed Jessica which she believes helped her revive her career. Akshay Kumar and Ajay Devgn, too, have had their staff appear in their movies.

Although Bebo isn't superstitious, she was more than happy to shoot with her real make-up artistes on the sets.

Mamta Mohandas Hikes Up Price Post Wedding

Actress Mamta Mohandas has received her highest pay cheque yet for her first signing post wedding. The actress will star opposite Dileep in the East Coast Vijayan-produced film My Boss.

She has allegedly been paid `15 lakh for her role, a huge amount for a local star, who also happens to be married.

"It's a plum, performance-oriented role and Mamta was the only actress in Mollywood who fits the bill. Also, since it's a full-length role, she has allotted close to 30 days exclusively for the film," says a source from the unit.

The deal, which was inked before her wedding in December last year, elevates Mamta to being one among the very few top paid actress in industry, second only to Kavya Madhavan, who has reportedly been paid `17 lakh for her next film. Of course, actresses from other film industries who bag roles here get paid a lot more - anywhere between `15 lakh to `30 lakh.

My Boss will be directed by Jithu Joseph, of Mummy and Me fame. Dileep plays a software engineer from Kuttanadu, and Mamta plays his boss who works out of the parent company in Mumbai. "Mamta's character is that of an Australian citizen and it is the cultural clash between them that adds colour to the love story," reveals director Jithu, who has also scripted the film. The rom-com, which also stars Lena, Salim Kumar, Sai Kumar and Suresh Krishna, is scheduled to begin filming in May and will mostly be shot in Mumbai.

Katrina Kaif to Star in Deshdrohi 2?

Looks like the pranks on Twitter are getting only too obvious. Now, when a self-proclaimed billionaire like KRK says he has signed on Katrina Kaif for his next film, we can only stare at the post in disbelief and realize only too soon that it is an April Fool's joke. KRK's attempt at humour unfortunately falls flat as his Twitter followers were'nt fooled.

The producer, actor and reality show star posted: "Good morning and kiss to Katrina Kaif for accepting my offer of Deshdrohi 2. Now for sure #Deshdrohi2 will be blockbuster. Love u Kat. Muaah." Wait till Katrina hears of this, KRK!

Geeta Basra's Dream Comes True

Geeta Basra, who was cricketer Harbhajan Singh's date for the night at Mukesh and Nita Ambani's residence to celebrate Sachin Tendulkar's 100th century is thrilled about meeting Lata Mangeshkar there, as she herself is a singer. Geeta gushes, "Lataji is such a pure soul.

I enjoyed every second spent with her. I have grown up listening to her songs and she is one of the greatest singers. Lataji is the Nightingale of India in the truest sense."

Trisha Krishnan's Role in Samaran!

The cute actress Trisha is playing as Maya, an Indian girl working in a foreign country, in ‘Samaran’, which has Vishal in the lead role. The film is being directed by Thiru, who earlier delivered ‘Theeradha Vilayattu Pillai’.

Speaking about the script Thiru says, “Trisha will give her own voice for Maya in Samaran. The story line goes on friendship of Vishal and Trisha that blossoms in to love in future.”

He adds: “Trisha will dub on her own for Samaran. There is one more heroine, Sunaina. She plays a girl from a rich family in Ooty. There is no connection between the characters of Trisha and Sunaina as per the script. But there are some interesting things.”

Vishal and team has completed some important scenes in Ooty, the cast and crew of Samaran are getting ready to fly, for canning songs and some action sequences in foreign locales, US and UK.
