Aamir beats construction company bid?
Aamir Khan's plan to buy out his society's plots - Bella Vista and Marina Apartments — is reportedly materialising. Khan outdid the bid of a prominent construction company (name withheld) by offering a much higher amount, indicated a society member.
Our source also said, "He may keep a part of the plot for a new home, while a new building will be built for the existing society members. Having lived in the building for about two decades, Aamir is attached to the place and hence, this initiative."
The Bollywood superstar is currently renting two floors in a sea-facing building on Carter Road. While one floor occupies his office, the other is where he lives with wife Kiran Rao Khan and their son Azad.

Aamir Khan on medication
Aamir Khan had to be on medication to keep nausea down for days when the actor was shooting for Dhoom 3's song, Malang.
The song has been shot at a huge height of about 80 feet and Aamir was to rotate 60 times in a minute for the same.
Aamir plays the role of a gymnast in Dhoom 3 and this was required. It is the first time the actor will be doing a thing like that. However, the perfectionist that he is, the actor willingly took it up without complaints and wanted to do it just the right way.
It took the team about 15 days to complete the shoot of the song and Aamir Khan was on medication for those many days. The medication was to help him keep nausea down. As he was at a huge height, taking turns, it is human to feel nauseated.
Also to make sure all is well, the makers of the movie specially called a doctor, who works with gymnasts, to be on the sets to help Aamir.
Dhoom 3 is a high on energy song. In terms of scale or budgets it is going to be massive. The song is around the central theme of gymnastic and will have 200 dancers in the frame.
Spokesperson of Aamir Khan says, "The song was being shot at about 80 feet from the ground. To do this, Aamir was on special medication to be able to perform at ease without major effects on his health"

People told me I wouldn't last in Bollywood, reveals Aamir Khan
Actor Aamir Khan, who has delivered several hits in his film career like Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, says because of his one film at a time approach, industry people often told him that his career will be over soon.
Aamir began as a child actor at the age of eight in Nasir Hussain's, Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) and Madhosh (1974). Eleven years later, he made his acting debut as an adult in Ketan Mehta's Holi (1984) that went unnoticed. The actor's first notable leading role came in 1988 in the film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which was directed by his cousin and Nasir Hussain's son Mansoor Khan.
The actor has completed 25 years in the film industry and given notable performances in films like Dil, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke, Andaz Apna Apna, Rangeela, Ghulam, Sarfarosh, Earth, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Sarfarosh, Rang De Basanti, Fanna, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and others.
"I am happy and surprised to complete 25 years in the industry. When I was new I was not aware where and how my career will head. I was told an actor's life is of five years as public then gets bored of seeing them," Aamir told reporters here today. Aamir insists that he chooses a film from his heart and doesn't do it to achieve name, fame, money and doesn't care much about which banner is making the movie.
"My this mantra to do a film has been questioned by many people in the industry. I remember industry people telling me that I would be out of this industry soon due to my one film or less films approach, and that my method was not right. People had lashed out at me and my way of working. But I never got deterred and followed what my heart said," he said.
