Big B buys a house in Paris?
Bollywood's most respected couple Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan celebrated their wedding anniversary in France a couple of years ago. At that time, both wanted to spend a quiet and calm time with each other, away from the busy life, family and friends.
Bachchan, who has always been in love with the city of fashion and romance — Paris — had promised Jaya that he would take his wife to the countryside of France and to Paris for their anniversary. TOI has now learnt from sources that Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan have bought a house in the French capital. And, Jaya is currently in the process of doing up the house. Does this mean that Indian cinema's biggest legend will now commute frequently between Paris and Mumbai?
We SMSed Bachchan, who replied saying, "This is not entirely correct... I'm out of the country and will be back in a few days."

Bachchans Upset with Morphed Pictures of Newborn
Pictures of Aishwarya Rai and her newborn baby girl have been doing the rounds on the internet. However, Ash's father-in-law, megastar Amitabh Bachchan and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan have claimed the pictures to be fake.
'Many morphed pictures of the 'little one' with her mother in hospital doing the rounds on the net... all fake!!' -- Amitabh posted on his Twitter page.
'To be my daughter in her mother's arms. Full points for creativity to the people who made them. Spent the morning with the girls and showing them some rather entertaining photos morphed by some very talented people of who is supposed...' Abhishek wrote with sarcasm.
Aishwarya gave birth to her first child Wednesday morning at a private hospital in Mumbai. Abhishek announced the news through the micro-blogging site.
The electronic media gave only limited footage to the news of Ash's delivery, following a reported 10-point directive from the Broadcast Editor's Association (BEA) warning news channels against excessive coverage on TV of her childbirth.
Thanking the media, the Bachchan senior tweeted: 'And once again a word of kindness to the electronic media for their non interference and dignified distance... thank you!!
'A word of appreciation too, to the print media for highlighting a few salient points... our joy in welcoming the girl child... and emphasising the commendable desire of Aishwarya in having a normal delivery without any epidural or pain killers. The often coined phrase 'too posh to push' was put to rest in her case... she was determined to do it the way she felt was correct!' he added.
The 69-year-old third-time grandfather is already receiving suggestion for the baby's name, though Abhishek has chosen to nickname her 'Beti B'.
'More time spent with the 'little one'... each and every movement sinking deep into our memory cells... to narrate to them when older! Thank you all for sending in suggestions for names for the baby... some of them really good... will run it by the parents!' he wrote.

Amitabh Bachchan introduces 'RA.One' game in movie
After getting Rajinikanth on board for a cameo in his mega-budget project "RA.One", Shah Rukh Khan has managed to rope in megastar Amitabh Bachchan for a voiceover to introduce a game based on the superhero flick.
Amitabh, known for his distinct baritone, drove down Thursday morning to do a voiceover for the movie. He left Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty amazed by his skill and dexterity.
"He came and finished his work in no time. We wanted him to introduce the game 'RA.One' in the film in his voice. His presence has changed the whole film. I wanted to have Amitji involved in our film somehow. Now the introduction of the game is in his voice. This is the best way I could bring Amitji into the project," said Pookutty.
Big B has earlier been involved with Shah Rukh's production house when he did a cameo in "Paheli". The two also featured together in "Mohabbatein", "Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham" and "Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna".

Amitabh defends Indian Cricket team
The Indian cricket team is getting brickbats after it lost its World No.1 Test crown to England. But Bollywood star Amitabh Bachchan supports the team, saying that rubbing them off completely after the loss is a ruthless way of dealing with the situation.
"For years and till not too far away, our cricket team and its captain (Mahendra Singh) Dhoni were the masters. One loss in England and suddenly they are incompetent. People reaction is as subtle and as ruthless as this," Big B posted on his blog.
"It requires immense acumen to be where they put you and in some manner to maintain it. Some understand the futility and the improbability of the situation and reconcile to it. Others and many others do not. Once there, they believe they are there and nowhere else. This is not entirely an adverse situation."
"It is quite possible that it thrives too. Others succumb to the moment, understand and accept. This is not entirely wrong too. Both can co exist, its a matter of reconciling with its complexity," Bachchan added.
Earlier this week, Indian team tasted humiliating defeat after they lost the series by 3-0. The newspapers and the cricket legends have been criticising their performance in foreign turf by calling it Indian team's worst performance in recent years.
