Drill him a little more about the story and Tiwari says with a smile, "Ab sab kuch abhi kaise bata doon!" He adds, "Varanasi is one of the very few cities in the world which has witnessed a large number of bomb blasts, but despite all that, the city has never lost its spirit. Woh shehar hamesha mast rehta hai and we will be highlighting this aspect in our movie." So, is this a movie about terrorism? "Yes, you can say that," he answers and adds, "that is going to be an important part of the movie."

Acting is a brutal profession: Bipasha Basu

Acting is a brutal profession: Bipasha Basu

After spending more than a decade in the industry, Bipasha Basu feels that an actor's life is not easy.

Bipasha, 34, who started her career with a negative character in 2001 hit 'Ajnabee', says she now wants to do challenging roles.

"It is true that hunger and fierceness to do some good work is little more than before in my life. Whatever I am going to do would be an honest reflection of my true self; my performance won't be corrupt.

"Acting is a brutal profession but I would maintain my own dignity and pride. An actor's life is never easy. It is always a Friday that decides how she is going to do in months to come," Bipasha told .

Bipasha was last seen in Vikram Bhatt's 'Raaz'. Her evil character in the film was received well and opened doors for many new projects. But Bipasha says she is not on a signing spree after the success of the film.

"For the last seven years I have been doing three films at maximum in a year. It is going to be the same in future as well. I want to do good work. Also, the kind of balance that I have struck in my life is for the keeps," she says.

Bipasha feels that she performs better when she steps out of her comfort zone.

"I have come to realise that whenever I step into unsafe zones, I perform better. The kind of films that I have done in the recent past or am doing now are some risky steps.

"These kind of roles can leave a very strong image about you. However, this is a risk worth taking. Also, I am sure audience too has matured enough to understand the difference between reel and real life."

Bipasha will be seen next in Vikram's another 3D film 'Creature' and Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer 'Aatma'.

Single Bipasha Basu enjoys male attention

Single Bipasha Basu enjoys male attention

It's been nine months since their break-up and former lovers Bipasha Basu and John Abraham may have put up a front of being cordial and in touch - even endorsing a hair colour brand during that time - but the truth is that they aren't on talking terms with each other.

According to an insider, "Bipasha gave nine years of her life to the relationship, even putting her career on hold whenever John needed her. She felt that everyone else was giving her so much love and respect, except John.

That's when she decided to end the relationship. Naturally, when their relationship ended, she chooses not to keep in touch with him. She made up her mind to move on and cut herself away from her past..."

The source also adds that Bips doesn't want to be in love just for the heck of it. "She was 22 when she fell in love with John. Now she's single for the first time in years and is enjoying the lack of baggage that comes with a relationship.

Bips is enjoying the male attention coming her way, and is being linked to quite a few eligible men. However, she has no plans to be in a committed relationship for some time now. Work is the only thing she's focusing on."

When asked if she's in touch with John post their separation, Bipasha says, "I choose not to be in touch with him; I am happier this way."

What about her alleged closeness to Hollywood heartthrob Josh Hartnett, who is starring with her in the upcoming film Singularity?

"Josh is wonderful, but in another country, so it's impractical! Right now, I don't think I have the energy to be in a relationship. Josh and I are very fond of each other and try to keep in touch, but I am not romantically attached to anyone currently. There is more to life than just men. I am doing a romantic comedy with R Madhavan soon. It's a mad film and I'm really looking forward to it. It's only work for me for now." Bipasha said.

Bollywood Actress Bipasa Basu was detained at the Airport

Actress Bipasha Basu was on Thursday stopped at the international airport here for not declaring dutiable goods and cleared only after paying duty, the second such incident this month after starlet Minissha Lamba was detained for not revealing jewellery worth over Rs 30 lakh.

The "Dhoom 2" actress was intercepted after she had crossed the green channel without making any declaration of some items of personal use on her arrival from London.

"Actress Bipasha Basu was caught carrying come undeclared items the value of which was not high. She was let off after she paid the duty," Additional Commissioner of Customs Mahender Pal said.

She was carrying undeclared goods worth over Rs 65,000 and so we asked her to pay the duty of Rs 13,000 which she did," said P M Govande, Commissioner of Customs (Airport). No fine or penalty was imposed.

Customs sources said she was carrying sandals, sunglasses and perfume, which she did not know also required to be declared.

She was very cooperative and showed all the bills, they said.

In a brief statement the actress said, "It was just a routine check up at the airport and many others were being checked as well. I paid Rs 12,000 as taxes against some personal goods. I think the customs team is doing an excellent job."

Lamba was detained at the airport on May 18 on her arrival from Cannes, France, for not declaring gold and diamond jewellery worth over Rs 30 lakh.

She was let off after two rounds of questioning, one of which lasted for over 16 hours. Lamba had claimed that the ornaments were given by a jewellery brand for purely promotional purpose to be worn at the Cannes film festival, where she had walked the red carpet.

Bipasha Basu as seductive item number in Murder 2

An item number in Murder 2 is on the cards for the Bong bombshell.

Bipasha Basu worked in several Bhatt flicks (Raaz, Jism, Gunaah, Footpath) at the start of her B-Town career. She now makes a return to the camp.

The Brothers Bhatt (Mukesh and Mahesh) have approached Bips for a sedutive item number in Murder 2, directed by Mohit Suri. Emraan Hashmi and Jacqueline Fernandez star in the thriller.

Bipasha Says, "I am considering it. But the dates have to fall in place."

Adds Mahesh Bhatt, "Mukesh was trying to get the dates of all players on board. As of now, things are yet to be worked out."

Was there a fallout between them and Bips? "We never made a movie offer to her in the past for her to refuse, " explains Mahesh Bhatt.

"Anyway, we work with newcomers, not stars. We don't believe in paying stars the kind of money these corporates pay. They play with people's money. Every paisa we generate is through blood and sweat."
