The Tamil film fraternity is all set to go on a day-long fast tomorrow (April 2) against the reported genocide of Tamils in Sri Lanka. It looks like some big names will take part in the strike. The latest update is that Thala Ajith Kumar and Vijay have also confirmed their participation in the event.

This is the second time in two weeks that the Tamil film industry is joining hands to observe a day-long fast. While the first fast was observed on March 19, spearheaded by the Tamil Nadu Film Directors Association (TANTIS) and Film Employees' Federation of South India (FEFSI) spearheaded it, the Nadigar Sangam, also known as South Indian Film Artistes' Association (SIFAA) will observe the fast tomorrow.
According to sources, actors who couldn't make it last time have postponed shooting to join the fast.
