Badlapur wins praise from the industry
Badlapur, directed by Sriram Raghavan, is an intriguing tale of love and revenge.
Varun Dhawan, who attempts a dark role for the first time as the angst-ridden Raghu, has created curiosity among the audience. Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the perfect antagonist in this revenge drama, which also features Yami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Divya Dutta and Radhika Apte. While the trailer had generated interest from the start, the music too has gained popularity.
Many celebrities who watched the movie, produced by Dinesh Vijan's Maddock Films, were all praises for it. Karan Johar said, "The film is absolutely stunning. Varun has made us so proud. He is exceptional. And it doesn't get better than Nawaz. I think it's a must watch." Homi Adajania said, "Badlapur impresses with Sriram Raghavan's inimitable style. I love the premise of his narrative, of unknowingly becoming everything you want to destroy. It is a psychological roller coaster with such effortless performances of difficult characters. We all have to back cinema like this in order to grow creatively."
Tabu, too, was heard appreciating Varun and Nawaz's performances. She even added how she is impressed by Sriram's work and wished the film great success. Badlapur, presented by Eros International and Maddock Films.
