Deepika chooses Salman over Shah Rukh Khan?

Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone, who is on a high after delivering three back-to-back hits, is considered close and loyal to superstar Shah Rukh Khan. Not only did SRK launch her in 'Om Shanti Om' but also gave her the biggest hit of her career - 'Chennai Express'. Hence, it comes as a surprise that she is now making efforts to get closer to SRK's rival Salman Khan.

While Deepika was shooting with Shah Rukh Khan for Happy New Year at Mehboob studios, she took time out of her busy schedule to meet and chat with Salman Khan. The 'Dabbang' actor was also shooting an ad film in another set in the same studio.

A DNA report says that the pretty actress went across to say 'hello' to Salman. She chatted with Salman for about half-an-hour. It was courageous for her to leave her hero SRK to meet his biggest rival, knowing that even after the 'truce' between the two Khans all is not fine between the two. Even director Farah Khan, who is a good friend of Salman's, refrained from meeting Salman as her hero SRK was on the set.

It seems Salman and Deepika have great admiration for each other. While Deepika has expressed a desire to work with Salman many times and will act opposite him in Sooraj Bharjatya's Bade Bhaiya, Salman too has been praising her a lot.

Deepika Padukone enjoys Goan food

Deepika Padukone is currently shooting for her upcoming movie " Finding Fanny Fernandes" in Goa.

Goa which is frequently visited for its beaches and its food, has caught Deepika's fancy.

The actress is enjoying her stay and has been bingeing on the authentic Goan food. A source informs, "She has been relishing delectable seafood. Deepika is personally going through the menu to get herself the best dish."

Deepika: My Chennai Express accent is NOT a spoof!

Deepika Padukone may have received a lot of flak for her Tamil accent in her upcoming release Chennai Express but the actress maintains that the film doesn't intend to spoof South Indians.

Deepika, who hails from Bangalore, Karnataka and reportedly struggled to get the accent right, says that she would never spoof her own culture.

The Rohit Shetty directed action-comedy releases this Friday, August 9.

"I don't understand why people are jumping to conclusion without even seeing the film. We all are South Indians, Rohit is a South Indian and I think except for SRK most of the crew was from South.

"For years, our films have been based in Punjab but now few films have started setting their stories in South India. I think people are not yet used to it. It is a comedy and larger-than-life film so
dialogues are meant to be funny," Deepika said during a promotional event of Chennai Express.

Deepika plays a Tamil girl who falls in love with a North Indian despite the language barrier in the film.

The 27-year-old star said she could identify with her character of a headstrong but traditional girl.

"I could identify with my character. I think Indian girls are like that. They have a mind of their own but are close to their families. Even when we are travelling outside, we don't lose that quality and stand out in the crowd. We have a way of carrying ourselves with lot of dignity and respect."

Last seen in the Ranbir Kapoor starrer blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, Deepika reunites with her costar from her debut film Om Shanti Om for Shetty's Chennai Express.

She is also working with directors Imtiaz Ali and Homi Adjania again and though she will not confirm, Deepika has reportedly signed Farah Khan's Happy New Year opposite SRK.

Deepika Padukone: I wish, I was a part of 'Rockstar'

If Deepika Padukone is satisfied after doing romantic comedy 'Cocktail' in 2012, she wishes she had been part of the Ranbir Kapoor starrer 2011 musical hit 'Rockstar'.

"I am more than happy I was part of 'Cocktail'. It was the most satisfying experience to do the film. The audience really appreciated me a lot in 'Cocktail'," Deepika told IANS.

"So this year, I am extremely happy about 'Cocktail' and have no regrets. But if you ask me about last year, then yes, I would say, I wish I was part of 'Rockstar'."

The actress had dated Ranbir for some time and even featured with him in the hit movie 'Bachna Ae Haseeno' before parting ways.

'Rockstar', a musical extravaganza that rocked the box office, was helmed by Imtiaz Ali who roped in Pakistani American Nargis Fakhri as Ranbir's love interest in the movie.

If Deepika pats herself for doing 'Cocktail', she candidly admits that some of her films disappointed her.

"I don't regret anything but, yes, I have been disappointed with two to three films that I did in the last two years," the 26-year-old said.

"I put equal amount of effort to each and every film but when it doesn't work, it is very disappointing. All of us face ups and downs in our lives, but all we can do is we can learn from our experiences."

However, she refused to name those disappointing films, saying it would be "unfair to name any films because ultimately it's me who had chosen the film ... so I would never name them".

Actress Deepika Padukone and beer baron's son, Siddharth Mallya, have finally decided to take their relationship seriously. It is reported that Deepika has suddenly become possessive about the Mallya boy, following the reports on him partying with Sophie Chaudhary at an IPL party.

Deepika has gave an ultimatum to Siddharth and has asked him to stay away from all-girl-company. Since then, Mallya has not been spotted with any other girl. Close friends of Siddharth have been noticing this change in him since one-and-a-half months.

It is also reported that Deepika has also stopped bonding with any other guy and is keeping to herself, while on shoots or off-shoots. The duo have been making themselves comfortable in each other's family's company. Whenever the couple get some time out of their work, they make sure they spend it together.

Hmm.....that's the best way one can start off a healthy relationship, by knowing each other.

Tinsel Town hottie Deepika Padukone has taken her relationship with her “good friend” Siddharth Mallya a step ahead. The dimpled beauty, who has been spotted with the business tycoon Vijay Mallay’s handsome son in almost every social gathering was seen kissing her alleged beau in full public view.

The duo, which was cheering for their IPL team Royal Challengers Bangalore celebrated their team’s win by hugging each other tight and kissing. RCB won against Shah Rukh Khan’s Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens on Friday.

And surprisingly, the one standing next to them while they were cozying up was senior Mallya.

Well, we do understand what your equation with Sid is. It’s high time you declare your relationship verbally Dips.
