Kate Hudson despises fame

Kate Hudson despises fame

Kate Hudson has claimed that she never wanted to become famous.

The 34-year-old star, who was raised by her actress mother Goldie Hawn and step-father Kurt Russell, admitted that she found it difficult to grow up with well known parents and she didn't like that they were often away on film sets, Contactmusic reported.

The 'Bride Wars' artist told the Sunday Times Magazine that fame takes parents away from you.

She said that it isn't necessarily something where, as a child, you say, 'Oh, this is fabulous!' because you feel the opposite.

She explained that going to a restaurant and having dinner is about spending time with the family, but there's all this unwanted stir and attention.

The mum-of-two said that it's intrusive, and you don't have the ability to understand that as a child.

"The criticism, the judgment, this influx of base, negative-focused, what some people call 'newsworthy' information-there are moments where you just go, 'what has this world come to? I mean, really? Why is this person stalking me all day?? Who wants that? Not me," Hudson added.

For Amanda Seyfried, singing live challenging

Singing live on the camera in the 2012 musical drama "Les Miserables" was her biggest challenge, says American actress-model Amanda Seyfried, who was also a part of 2008 musical romantic-comedy "Mamma Mia!".

Though the cast members of the latter used to sing live instead of pre-recording their vocals, Seyfried, who played Cosette in the musical, feared she may not have the stamina to carry it off.

"(My biggest challenge was) singing live on camera," femalefirst.co.uk quoted the 27-year-old as saying. "It was such a different style from the songs I did in 'Mamma Mia!' and a lot of people, including me, were scared I wouldn't have the stamina for it. But I worked really hard with my voice coach."

The actress also revealed that her biggest regret was to quit opera-singing as a teenager.

"(My biggest regret is) quitting opera singing training when I was 17 - that had been my passion before acting took over and I wish I had stuck with it," she said.

Family more important: Kate Winslet

Family more important: Kate Winslet

Actress Kate Winslet said her family life is much more important to her than acting.

Winslet, who has 12-year-old daughter Mia from her marriage to director Jim Threapleton, and son Joe with ex-husband Sam Mendes, a filmmaker, said she doesn't struggle as much with balancing her career and family life.

"My greatest strength is my ability to bounce back. I've got a really over-packed brain, there's always so much to do," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Winslet as saying.

"But my children are my life and acting is something that I just do sometimes," she said.

Last month Winslet insisted that the past four years including her split from Mendes in 2010 and marriage to Ned Rocknroll in December last has given her much-needed clarity about life.

"I've really learned a great deal about myself in the last four years, in particular. I think I can see more clearly now - about how the pattern of past experiences has shaped who I am, and the characters I have played and I'm grateful for that," she added.

No onscreen nudity for Kaya Scodelario

Actress Kaya Scodelario says she will not play Anastacia Steele in the film adaptation of bestseller "Fifty Shades of Grey" because she is not comfortable nudity in front of the camera.

Scodelario also said her mother does not want her to take the role.

"I'm not comfortable doing nudity. That's something quite personal," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Scodelario as saying.

"My mother always tells me not to do it and I respect her. Considering what the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' film is about, I wouldn't be able to play Anastacia," added the 21-year-old, who has worked in TV shows like "True Love " and "Skins" in the past.

"Fifty Shades of Grey" is written by EL James.

Reese Witherspoon lost memory when she had third baby

Reese Witherspoon lost memory when she had third baby

Reese Witherspoon has revealed that the downside to having a baby to hug and kiss is that you forget everything.

Witherspoon told the June issue of Red magazine that ever since she had the baby, she can't remember anything and her "third child stole her brain", the Mirror reported.

Her latest baby, Tennessee, was born last September, in her marriage to second husband, talent agent, Jim Toth.

The 37-year-old said that she is losing friendships over forgetting to get back to people, but she says it is not possible to keep up with everything.

"It's like CNN ticker tape running through my mind at all times (puts on robotic voice): 'Where is Ava? She's okay. Good. Where is Deacon? He's okay. Good. Where is Tennessee? Is he okay? Yes. Great. Back to Ava...' It doesn't stop," she said.

Don't have Facebook, Twitter account: Tanushree Dutta

Don't have Facebook, Twitter account: Tanushree Dutta

Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta says she does not have any personal account on social networking platforms like Facebook or Twitter.

"I would like to tell everybody that I am not on Facebook or Twitter," the 29-year-old said in an interview.

Recently, the actress had reportedly lodged a complaint against an unknown person for impersonating her by creating a fake account of hers on a social networking site. She has warned her fans against such fake accounts.

"Be careful... because today too many fake accounts are being created with a particular actor or actress's name and there is no record of the kind of stuff such people are putting in those fake accounts," she added.

Tanushree is quite shocked at the incident.

"When I came across this, I found that it (fake account) had 5,000 to 6,000 friends. Just think. In my life time, I have never had as many friends as that fake account had."

When asked about her reason for staying away from online social networking, Tanushree said: "I am not very comfortable with this Facebook and Twitter thing and that's why I kept myself away from such things."

A former beauty queen, Tanushree made her acting debut in 2005 with Aashiq Banaya Aapne. On the big screen, she was last seen in the 2010 film Rokkk.

Meanwhile, the actress is on a spree to regain a curvy figure and said she is planning to return to celluloid soon.

Mahesh babu took 40 takes for a scene?

Mahesh babu took 40 takes for a scene?

Mahesh Babu is known as a single take artist in the industry and his acting prowess surprised even some of the tough taskmasters like Teja during the shooting of 'Nijam'. No one would expect an artiste like him to go for about 40 retakes for a scene. Unfortunately, the same thing happened during the shooting of his upcoming flick in the direction of Sukumar.

We have seen over the years that Sukumar never compromises on the output until he gets what he has envisioned. On the other hand, Mahesh being a director's hero goes to any extent to satisfy the captain of the ship.

For a sequences of getting down from a bike in a stylish manner, our Superstar have taken 40 takes to get the nod from the director. It's not that all the 39 takes were bad, but they haven't turned out in a way Sukumar wants that particular scene to be.

Of course, Mahesh Babu willn't feel proud about what has happened but Sukumar's zeal to produce a quality product makes him take everything in the right spirit. That's the story of Superstar and his 40 takes!

Double dhamaka for Colors Swathi

Double dhamaka for Colors Swathi

Actress Swathi is all smiles and for good reason too. She is not just basking in the success of her latest Tollywood outing, Swami Ra Ra, but also of her Malayalam debut, Amen. "I'm glad that both my films are hits. Originally, my Telugu film was supposed to have released long ago, but we waited for the right time and somehow, it just clicked," she says.

Talking about her debut Malayalam movie, she says, "We worked very hard for this film which showcases magical realism — a new genre in recent times. My character, Soshanna, is not a typical heroine and is in full control of her life. She is not afraid to express herself. I'm glad to have got such a great debut," she says. The actress will be in Delhi on Tuesday to showcase the film to the media.

There are also reports that the actress has signed another Malayalam film London Bridge. "I got the offer, but they wanted to shoot for the film for two months continuously abroad and I have to check my schedule before signing the film," she says.

With the success of Swami Ra Ra, Swathi has many Telugu offers coming her way too. "I am listening to some scripts right now and I will announce the details soon," says Swathi, whose upcoming film, Bangaru Kodipetta is ready to hit the screens. Swathi is also working on a Tamil film, Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara.

I’d love to cast Priyanka Chopra in my film: Lara Dutta

I’d love to cast Priyanka Chopra in my film: Lara Dutta

Thirteen years ago, they won beauty pageants together - Lara Dutta was Miss Universe and Priyanka Chopra, Miss World 2000. Eventually, they went on to act together in the 2003 hit Andaaz, and jointly won the female debut awards for the year. The two never acted together again, fuelling rumours of a cold rivalry, but rubbishing them all on her visit to the Capital on Saturday, Dutta said that she would, on the contrary, love to cast PeeCee in one of her forthcoming production ventures.

I’d love to cast Priyanka Chopra in my film: Lara Dutta

"We started together ... and I feel so proud when I see Priyanka doing so well! I'd love to cast her in one of my forthcoming productions," said Dutta, who turned producer in 2011 with Chalo Dilli.

Asked if she regrets taking a backseat in films after motherhood and making way for her contemporaries to benefit in the process, she says, "Not at all. Bollywood is not the only thing that I wanted to do. I acted full-fledged for 12 years and now my priorities in life are different. Those who aimed just for Bollywood are living their dream, and it's good for them ... but there's more to me than just an actor," said the 35-year-old, who's currently working on her next production venture that'll see her in the lead.

"I'm also eagerly waiting for the sequel of No Entry," said Dutta, who looked svelt, having lost a lot of weight since pregnancy in 2011. But it's not rigorous workouts or sport practice with tennis-champ husband Mahesh Bhupathi that keeps her in shape.

"Running behind my one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Saira is the secret!"

Lara-Mahesh’s love story
Actor Lara Dutta and hubby Mahesh Bhupathi may be celebs in their own fields, but it's not Bhupathi’s tennis or Dutta's acting or Miss Universe title that attracted them to each other. "I am not even a big tennis fan. Mahesh is a self-made man, very reliable... just the perfect life partner one wants to have. That’s what attracted me," said Dutta, who was in town yesterday with hubby for a special initiative marking the launch of Samsung Galaxy 4. "She's a very grounded person, and family oriented. That's what I loved about her," added Bhupathi.

People told me I wouldn't last in Bollywood, reveals Aamir Khan

People told me I wouldn't last in Bollywood, reveals Aamir Khan

Actor Aamir Khan, who has delivered several hits in his film career like Taare Zameen Par, 3 Idiots, says because of his one film at a time approach, industry people often told him that his career will be over soon.

Aamir began as a child actor at the age of eight in Nasir Hussain's, Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973) and Madhosh (1974). Eleven years later, he made his acting debut as an adult in Ketan Mehta's Holi (1984) that went unnoticed. The actor's first notable leading role came in 1988 in the film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, which was directed by his cousin and Nasir Hussain's son Mansoor Khan.

The actor has completed 25 years in the film industry and given notable performances in films like Dil, Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke, Andaz Apna Apna, Rangeela, Ghulam, Sarfarosh, Earth, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Sarfarosh, Rang De Basanti, Fanna, Taare Zameen Par, Ghajini, 3 Idiots and others.

"I am happy and surprised to complete 25 years in the industry. When I was new I was not aware where and how my career will head. I was told an actor's life is of five years as public then gets bored of seeing them," Aamir told reporters here today. Aamir insists that he chooses a film from his heart and doesn't do it to achieve name, fame, money and doesn't care much about which banner is making the movie.

"My this mantra to do a film has been questioned by many people in the industry. I remember industry people telling me that I would be out of this industry soon due to my one film or less films approach, and that my method was not right. People had lashed out at me and my way of working. But I never got deterred and followed what my heart said," he said.

Life is full of unexpected events: Manju Warrier

Life is full of unexpected events: Manju Warrier

One actress M-Town would love to welcome back to the silver screen is Manju Warrier.

It was her exclusive photo shoot for a magazine recently that once again sparked off the rumours of her comeback. There was even buzz that the actress would be seen on the big screen with a Sathyan Anthikkad project. However, when we contacted Manju, she said it is not true. "I'm in no hurry. As of now I don't have any plans to enter movies," she says.

Though, unlike earlier, the actress seems to be changing her stand slowly. "Life is full of unexpected events. It was without much planning that I started giving dance performances once again. It just happened quite unexpectedly," she says.

Three films a year is already too much: Parvathi Menon

Three films a year is already too much: Parvathi Menon - CineDen

Actress Parvathy of 'Poo' fame might have done just a handful of films till date but whatever she's done, she's made sure people have taken notice. The actress' next project is the Dhanush-starrer 'Mariyaan', in which she plays the female lead, Panimalar. Parvathy shares with us the experience of working in the film and what goes on to make her ethnic characters memorable. Excerpts:

Whenever you played an ethnic character, like in Poo or City of God, it's brought out something special in you. Is it because these characters require you to step out of the comfort zone?
Certainly. I choose characters that are challenging to me as an actor. I've often heard from filmmakers that women from villages are raw characters and their stories are more intense. I think even city girls have their own kind of rawness but right now filmmakers want to explore the untold stories of villages.

What can we expect from your role in 'Mariyaan'?
Female characters usually figure in a movie just as a way of furthering a love story. But my character, Panimalar, is different and that's what attracted me to the role. She plays a love interest but also has so many other layers to her. I can't tell you more because I've been asked not to reveal anything about my role in the movie but it's definitely one of the strongest characters I've played so far.

Despite being an ethnic story,' Mariyaan' is arguably the biggest production you've been part of yet.
It's produced by the same production house that has made movies like Anniyan and Dasavathaaram, and you also have Bharat Bala, Dhanush and A R Rahman attached to the film. However, the best thing is that despite being heavyweights, they don't throw their weight around. They are thorough professionals dedicated to making the best movie they can.

Your experience working with Dhanush?
He's a very reserved and no nonsense actor. He comes to the set, does his job and leaves. He's had his fair share of criticism which has made him a better actor. We didn't discuss our scenes for the movie and we would directly go for the take. It made the whole process interesting as it became spontaneous.

Since you usually take a long break between movies, it's obvious that a good degree of preparation goes for each role.
I do only one film at a time because I want to invest myself entirely to the character. Over the past year I've been part of three films — a Kannada movie, Andar Baahar, and the Tamil films Chennaiyil Oru Naal and Mariyaan. Three films a year itself is hectic for me because I want to experience a film, be in that character and then take a break for a month to get away from it all before I take up another project. When I do a role, I want it to be memorable. In Mariyaan, I want people to remember the character, Panimalar, and don't want the image of the actress to dilute it.

The audience has also lapped up your performance in Chennaiyil Oru Naal where you are part of an ensemble cast.
For me, being part of an ensemble cast is tougher because you have just five scenes to make an impact while in a lead role such as Mariyaan, I had 50 scenes to tell my story. Also, in a movie with an ensemble cast and multiple storylines, you have to understand the entire script to know exactly where your character stands and how it works with the other scenes. I had director Shaheed Khader explain to me what will be the scene after and before mine, so I could fit into the scheme of things.

Anirudh on the other hand, said that he was under pressure as he had to live up to the expectations of his maiden album 3.

Gracy Singh plays classical singer in comeback film

Actress Gracy Singh will play a classical singer in 'Blue Mountains', touted to be her comeback film. She says she even learnt a bit of singing for the movie.

"I have done one film where I play a classical singer. It is titled Blue Mountains. The shoot is over and it is ready to release. I also learnt a little bit of singing for it," the 32-year-old said here Friday on the sidelines of an art exhibition.

She also has another film in hand - Janta vs Janardan.

"It will go on floors next month," she said.

Gracy started her showbiz career on the small screen with Amanat. She went on to try her luck in Bollywood, and got her first big role opposite Aamir Khan in Lagaan: Once Upon A Time In India. She also featured in Munnabhai M.B.B.S..

Gracy was last seen in a small role in Dangerous Ishhq last year.

My sex symbol status is all an illusion: Pierce Brendan Brosnan

Pierce Brosnan, who was apparently in a romantic mood at a 'Cinema Society and Disaronno' sponsored premiere of his new film 'Love Is All You Need', has said that his sex symbol status is all an illusion.

The former James Bond was spotted walking hand-in-hand with his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.

Recalling his first meeting with his wife in Mexico, Brosnan said that it was captivating.

The 59-year-old actor said that after 19 years, they are still going strong.

"A sex symbol on the cusp of 60 . . . long may it last. It's fun, but it's all an illusion," he added of his ongoing status as a sex symbol.

Meera Chopra will romance Diganth in 1920 London

Meera Chopra will romance Diganth in 1920 London

When Sandalwood actor Diganth first announced that he was off to Bollywood, he was to have romanced Prachi Desai in a film called Jazz. But then, Prachi walked out of that project, and Nidhi Subbaiah was roped in. That, though, did not help and the film never took off. It then turned out Diganth would make his B-town debut with Vikram Bhatt's 1920 London, again featuring Prachi. But the news now is that the actress has walked out of this project as well and south actress Meera Chopra will step in. The project, we hear, is all set to take off in June.

Meera Chopra will romance Diganth in 1920 London - CineDen
Meera Chopra will romance Diganth in 1920 London

Meera, who is Priyanka Chopra's cousin, is excited to work on the project, which marks her Bollywood debut as well. "This is the best debut I could ask for. The first two instalments in the 1920 franchise were hits. This too will work," says Meera. The film will also mark the B'wood debut of television star-turned-actor Vishal Karwal. And, according to Meera, all the roles are equally important in the film. "I play Diganth's girlfriend in the film, but eventually get married to Vishal. The story is about how I get possessed and how Diganth rescues me," she says.
Interestingly, this is not the first time that Meera is working with Diganth. She has already worked with him in a Telugu film. "I worked with him in Vaana, the remake of the Kannada blockbuster Mungaru Male. He is very sweet actor. When we worked together, he was just starting his career. It is great to know that he has become a big name in Kannada cinema," she says.

A Delhi girl, Meera started her film career in the south with a Tamil film Anbe Aaruyire. With south heroines like Trisha, Tamannaah, Kajal Aggarwal and Asin starting their career with bigger stars, does it bother her that she is being launched with newcomers? "What happened to Trisha's debut? We can't really predict anything in Bollywood. Take, for instance, Vicky Donor, the actors were new, but the film did wonders at the BO. If it's a good script that is handled by a bunch of talented people, it will get a good response. When I signed the film, I didn't even ask who the actors were. Vikram is a brand by himself and I am confident of my B'wood debut," says Meera, who has done a Kannada film opposite Darshan earlier.

As for Prachi, her spokesperson informs us, "She has not given any quotes with regard to her not doing 1920 London. She is busy shooting for Policegiri and has date issues. Because of Sanjay Dutt's current situation, everyone's busy trying to wrap up Policegiri. Prachi got busy with that."

Tollywood daddies want Tamannaah too

Tollywood daddies want Tamannaah too

Tamannaah's Bollywood outing may not have gone as well as she had hoped, but the actress is still hot property here in T-town. A Ram Charan or Naga Chaitanya wanting to pair up with a hit heroine like her isn't surprising. But what's funny is their daddies too want to share screenspace with the pretty woman! In an interesting pattern observed, the older Tollywood lot have been openly expressing their desire to work with the young actress. Tamannaah, who has teamed up with almost all the top heroes amongst the current crop - Pawan Kalyan, NTR, Ram Charan, Prabhas and Allu Arjun among others - has become the top choice for the 'seniors' too.

Not too long ago, Chiranjeevi, during the audio launch of the Ram Charan-starrer Racha said he would like to work with the actress and wants to cast her opposite him in his (ever elusive) 150th film. "After watching Tamannaah's glam performance in Racha, I was toying with the idea of roping her in as the leading lady for my 150th film. In fact, when someone was asking about my 150th film, I was enquiring whether Tamannaah will agree to be paired opposite me or not. Also, I was pondering about how it looks if I share screen space with Tamannaah, who worked with Charan!" quipped Chiranjeevi.

And the Akkineni clan wasn't far behind either! During the recent audio launch of Naga Chaitanya's Tadakha, papa Nagarjuna was quite impressed with Tamannaah's glam quotient too. "Whenever I meet Tamannaah, I always tell her, 'You look so beautiful'. And I hope some day, we both can do a film together," he said in jest.

Even Akkineni Nageswara Rao couldn't help but add a line about how he thought about working with Tamannaah as well. And he even quipped that he was jealous that his grandson (Naga Chaitanya) grabbed the chance first! "After watching Tamannaah, my heart says that I'm just 25! In fact, I'm ready to wear a wig and act with her. I'm really wondering why I couldn't get a chance to act opposite her," he joked.

Hero Gopichand marriage date fixed

Tollywood hero Gopichand's wedding date has been fixed on May 12. The handsome actor will enter into wedlock with Reshma, who happens to be a niece of another T-Town actor Srikanth. The star-studded wedding will take place at N-Convention Centre in Madhapur, Hyderabad and several high film and political personalities are expected to grace the marriage ceremony.

Gopichand has almost wrapped up the shooting of his upcoming film Sahasam, co-starring Taapsee, directed by Chandrasekhar Yeleti.

Bollywood is not my final destination: Isha Talwar

Bollywood is not my final destination: Isha Talwar

Actress Isha Talwar is on cloud nine these days, having made a successful debut in Mollywood with 'Thattathin Marayathu' and consequently testing the waters in other South industries.

The actress is just fresh off her first Telugu film, Gunde Jaari Gallanthayyinde, which is garnering good response from the audience. "I'm still in that zone," beams an excited Isha, who also has a Tamil film with Prakash Raj, which will hit the screens soon. While the Telugu rom-com has her starring along with Nitin and Nitya Menen, the Tamil movie, which is a remake of the 1981 Rajinikanth-starrer by the same name, will have her doing a full-length comic film for the first time.

"It's a mad comedy. Since the Tamil film was itself a remake of the 1979 Hindi movie Gol Maal, which is a cult film, I am well-acquainted with it. So it was easy to slip into the role and the mood of the movie," she says.

Having worked in Malayalam, Telugu and Tamil, ask the Mumbaikar actress if her final destination is Bollywood and she says, "Bollywood is not my final destination. If that was the case, it would have happened a while ago. There are offers but I'm not up for it right now. Currently, I'm getting good projects in the South and I want to capitalise on them."

Meanwhile, Isha says she is in talks with a few Mollywood directors and hopefully will sign up something soon. "I would love to do more good roles in Malayalam," she says.

Apart from movies, Isha has been busy filming for ads as well, being selected as the face for several brands post the success of Thattathin Marayathu. "Things are happening in all fronts, slowly and steadily," she signs off.

I want to play a historic figure: Indrajith

I want to play a historic figure: Indrajith Sukumaran

Indrajith might be one step closer to his dream role. The actor who had always wanted to play a historic figure in a period film, might just get his wish granted. The team of his upcoming film with M T Vasudevan Nair and Hariharan is planning a movie based on the epic, 'Randamoozham', next.

Ask him if he's a likely candidate for any of the characters in the novel-turned-film that tells the story of Mahabharatha from Bhima's perspective, and the actor says, "I am hoping that my performance in Ezhamathey Varavu would hold me in good stead."

With Randamoozham having several key characters and touted to be a big budget project, Indrajith is likely to be a part of the project. The fact that both MT and Hariharan handpicking Indrajith for Ezhaamathey Varavu is proof enough that they have confidence in him.

The 38-year-old was reported to have fallen for Ernesto Arguello, one of the three contestants searching for romance on the programme. They were recently spotted leaving Los Angeles International Airport together, reports contactmusic.com.

"Yes, they are dating but it is very new. She enjoys his company and thinks he is a great guy. Ernesto treats her so well and she thinks he is sexy. It works for now," a source told intouchweekly.com.

"Sorry Ernesto Arguello is not dating me, but you can see who he is dating on 'Ready For Love' tomorrow (Tuesday) night on NBC after The Voice! (sic)," she tweeted Monday.

Longorio faced shock last week after NBC network bosses announced her dating show had been cancelled after just two episodes due to poor ratings.

The third instalment will air as scheduled Tuesday, but it is not yet known whether the final five episodes in the series will be broadcast at a later date or not.

Laura Jeanne Reese Witherspoon embarrassed by a comment

Reese Witherspoon has said that she is "deeply embarrassed" for what she said to a police officer while he was arresting her and her husband during a traffic stop in Atlanta.

"Do you know my name?" she reportedly told the state trooper who stopped the couple.

According to the arrest report, she told the state trooper that he was about to find out who she was and that he will go on national news.

The 37-year-old actress released a statement on Sunday apologizing for her behaviour to police, which began when her husband Jim Toth was arrested early Friday for driving under the influence of alcohol, CBS News reported.

The Oscar winner said in the statement that she had one drink too many and she was deeply embarrassed about the things she said.

She asserted that it was a scary situation and she was frightened for her husband.

Witherspoon said that she was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his duty and has nothing but respect for the police, adding that she was very sorry for her behaviour.

She was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct after a state trooper said she wouldn't stay in the car while her husband was given a field sobriety test.

Karan Johar plans to direct next in early 2014

Karan Johar plans to direct next in early 2014

Director-producer Karan Johar, currently caught up with several production ventures like "Gippi" and "Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani", would direct a full length feature film next year.

"As a producer, there is so much on my plate. I will direct next year in February-March," he told IANS.

His last film as a director was college romance drama "Student Of The Year", but the director refused to reveal the genre of his next.

However, he said: "To strike a balance between what is real and what is mainstream is the order of the day. I would like to do just that."

This year, Karan has directed one segment of "Bombay Talkies", a compilation of four films that is a tribute to the 100 years of Indian cinema.

Talking about the film, he said: "It's an emotional film. There are songs and emotions (shown) in a different way. It is about relationships. There is no glamour. It is more real in that way."

His segment will see Rani Mukerji, Saqib Saleem and Randeep Hooda.

"I have no problem in working with stars, but that was not the demand for this film," he said.

I don't see a scene as a lovemaking or a bold scene: Shraddha Kapoor

I don't see a scene as a lovemaking or a bold scene: Shraddha Kapoor

Shraddha Kapoor gives importance to "good story" and "good role", and says that she treats lovemaking or bold scene like any other sequence.

Seen in "Teen Patti" and "Luv Ka The End", Shraddha's next is romantic musical " Aashiqui 2", in which she will be seen romancing Aditya Roy Kapoor.

Talking about her preferences, she said: "It depends on the story. It has to excite me. I don't see a scene as an intimate scene. It's just that I want to be a part of a great story and do good roles."

"I don't see a scene as a lovemaking or a bold scene. There has to be something (in the story), which should attract me to a film. I treat all scenes like that," she said during a group interview.

While working on "Aashiqui 2", she admits sharing a great bond with Aditya on and off the screen.

"Aditya and I got comfortable with each other and it shows on the screen. People have been calling me and telling me that we have a good chemistry. Off screen, we have become good friends and somewhere that has translated on the screen as well. That is wonderful," said the 24-year-old.

Director Mohit Suri's "Aashiqui 2" is her first romantic film. Also, the fact that it is a sequel to 1990 romantic blockbuster "Aashiqui" made it challenging for Shraddha.

"Mohit is emotionally connected to the film. For us, to understand the depth of the film took a little bit of time and it was a challenge. But Mohit took us down to the level where he was, so we could understand what we were getting into," she said.

The actress also said the director ensured they don't feel the pressure of "Aashiqui" success.

"The first 'Aashiqui' was a blockbuster, so there's pressure. But Mohit made sure we didn't face any pressure. He completely got us involved in the film, so that we don't think about anything else," she said.

Shraddha was barely one-year-old when Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal starrer had come out. When she saw the film, she was "very small". "I remember listening to the songs while growing up. 'Sanson ki zaroorat' was my favourite," she said.

"Aashiqui 2" is coming out April 26.
